Yep, good choice with the move to DSM. I can't see any reason to stay without it anymore. Soo easy to just turn it on and go. No worries about channels.
Crowd pleaser body? I picked up the J-Concepts bodies for my Jamming truggy and buggy. Haven't painted them yet either.
I also have a unpainted Subaru STi inferno GT body, a Nissan 350z painted body (like i had at september fest) and a new Lambo body for the Hyper 1/7.
I may be all brushless by the time SummerJam comes around. I will have at least one brushless car, probably running about 6s lipos. I think the truggy will be the brushless beastie. Ought to rip it up.

Electric holds an appeal in my mind due to the lack of mess, longer run times, and overall increased power with massive bottom end.
The only thing I'll miss is the noise of a nitro screaming.
