Tired of the plastic ball ends breaking or stripping out. Just found these. My little Mini 8 has bee driving me nuts with tiny plastic part breakages. However, this online store sells M3/4/5 size heim joints. Could you imagine one of these in a teflon coated steel ball with aluminum rod-end housing? Steering could be butter smooth with zero play for a long time. store.rc4wd.com/Aluminum-Mini-M3-Rod-End-with-Steel-Ball-1_p_637.htmlI'm ordering a set to replace the shock ends on my Mini 8ight, and will probably be ordering the aluminium knuckles, carriers, hubs, and arms holders too. Currently I'm looking for Aluminum A-Arms for it but haven't found any. I may just have to take the measurements of one of the arms and see if I can have them replicated on a CNC mill in 7075 aluminum. The aluminum stock would be the cheapest part of the process. The buggy is just too fragile. But it doesn't weigh that much, and most of its fragility comes from under spec'd parts. A little extra weight from beefier pieces would go along way in increasing its durability and fun factor. I didn't really buy it to race, there isn't a high demand for its class out here. I think I'm the only one who has one.
