I want to build a tlt based crawler. I have a traxxas rustler, which i have heard has a valuable little rear diff and tranny assembly for crawling. First, I need to know how to lock this diff. I'm using it as the center diff and running the dogbones out to tlt axles. second....I need to know where to get tlt axles. I'm using the electronics from the rustler...the esc and reciever. Is this a good idea? I'm thinking of building a custom frame...or do you think i should just buy a crawler frame? I'm trying to keep it as low cost as possible. thanks

It's rare to see JUST tlt axles for sale, but watch Ebay. If you want ti quicker, go here www.ultimatehobbies.com//p609.html You'll find a complete TLT kit for $80 shipped, it's where I got mine. I recomend using the slider shafts from the rustler as well instead of dogbones. Finding a proper size dogbone can be a PITA. For a chassis, building prolly would be cheeper if you have the skills and material. If you lack those, purchasing a pre made one could be benificial.

I agree, but sometimes you do get lucky or you find someone wanting to trade on one of the other boards...
