This is a project that I have been working on for a while now. I have gone through a bunch of ideas for this truck and I think that I have finally decided what I am going to do with it. First off I talked with Josh (Hulkwerks) about building me a tuber for my truck. He explained to me that he hasn't had anyone with a hardbody ask him for a frame before so I started thinking. So I drew up a chassis on paper and sent it to him along with the body to make it as easy as possible for him. Here are a few pics of the chassis in the works...... Here is a pic of the finished chassis as it sits now. I am in the process of cleaning up the welds to my liking. Josh cleaned up the welds well but I am just picky......lol Well so far so good, I will keep this post updated as I progress. Any comments are welcome, good or bad.

Thanks for the comment...the only credit I can take is I came up with the chassis on paper. The rest was all Hulkwerks.

Well here are the shocks that I plan on using. These are stock TLT shocks that I had bought for this project. I stripped off the gold annodizing and have to think what to do next. They look trashed right now but I am sure that I can change that. Oh yeah one more thing, I got some faux bedlock rings from Kevin. I caught him just in time before he took a break from making parts. Talk about good timing.

I'd paint the shocks white, find some red spring covers, and shrink some ranchero shock logos and glue them on. Give it a sweet scale look.

hcfr34 thanks for the idea about the shocks, I really took your idea into consideration. I may use it on my next project, but with this I am going with a blue and silver theme so this is what I came up with. Let me know what you guys think.

Yeah I'm afraid that this is going to be a shelf queen but I am still thinking about your idea on the shocks. I just can't decide at the moment I appreciate the comment.

Well I was able to get some pics today of the chassis after powdercoating. I think the color came out just as I thought it would. This is a candy blue coating which has a mirror silver coating under it. Only took two days to get it done. Well enjoy the pics and let me know what you think. And since I was getting the chassis coated, I figured that I should get the beadlock rings coated also. I spent the night sanding off the coating from the areas that I wanted, gotta have that contrast of two colors

Hey guys thanks for the comments, I can't wait to start building this thing. I have a few other parts that are on order at the moment and a few of my own touches to make. I will post pics with more progress. I have to agree, I am glad I went with the powdercoating. Like you said Camp, it smooths everything out. Already made a decision on the color for my other project "ALTERED". Keep an eye out....lol.

Well I got some assembly done on "SHOWTIME" and it looks pretty good. Still have some stuff to add, so not done yet. The body had to take a back seat for a little while because I wanted to get the chassis together to become a roller. Let me know what you guys think, good or bad. Here is the motor I built for it. It started out as a Parma Hemi but I decided to tweak it a little to make it my own. Enjoy.

The spark plug wires are actually from the hardware store. They are used to hang up pictures. It seems to be some type of braided steel.
