Well, here are the latest pics on "The White Tiger" (was "Snow Leopard"). After a lot of thought and experimenting, I found the type of finish I wanted on the frame. I didn't want a real shiny look, so I sand blasted the aluminum plates today and they turned out great! They look nearly white, and have a sparkle to them in the sunshine. My next step on this truck is to complete the links, then skidplates, then paint the body. My hopes are high for this truck, so I have my fingers crossed that it will turn out good.. Otherwise my wife will kick my butt, this is her truck.. Martin

I used a combination of a drill press, jig saws, hand saws, angle sanders, and hand files to get it cut out. Each plate is 3/16" aircraft aluminum, and is very tough.. i broke more blades and tools on this than anyone would believe.... The sandblasting worked great, and besides I had to try it out before I start blasting on the Jeep..

What about a scroll saw. Seems to me with the proper blade it would work great. Yhat's what I'm going to try to use. Ken

It is the same.. The only difference is the lighting.. Still just sandblasted aluminum..

Well I needed something to occupy my mind this weekend so I spent some time on the body for this truck.. My mother passed away last Friday and I had to have something to keep me occupied when I wasn't busy with other arrangements. I haven't slept more than 4 hours over the last 5 days so here is the updates to the truck.. It is painted with "Pearl White, Mettalic Black, and Pearl Silver" The windows were done with "Fastint". This work has been great therapy for me and has helped me to hold together for the family.. Martin
