What sort of prep needs to be done to stock clod parts and clod wheels to be painted?..cleand i know but whats the preferd method..also what type of paint? acrlyic?

Light sanding with a Green Scotchbright pad... then get some Etching primer from the Auto Parts store.. Works best on plastics and formerly chromed auto parts and works great on Model plastic...
Make sure you get as much sanded as possible leaving the surfaces non shinney.. The Shine will cause the paint to life sometimes...
Next I suggest using Enamel paint, matching it close to the Etching primer to insure paint adhearsion...
You may want to also use before painting some Filler/Sealer primer...

You can use any type of paint it doesn't matter, but you can use brake fluid if you mess up. It might sound crazy but it works, unlike paint thinner that melts the plastic body.
