It has been calculated that if everyone in the united states did not purchase a drop of gasoline for one day and all at the same time, the oil companies would choke oh their stockpiles.
At the same time it would hit the entire industry with a net loss of over 4.6 billion dollars which affects the bottom lines of the oil companies.
Therefore MAY 19th has been formally declared "STICK IT TO THEM DAY" and the people of this nation should not buy a single drop of gasoline that day.
The only way this can be done is if you inform as many people as you can to get the word out. Waiting on the administration to step in and control the prices is not going to happen. What happened to the reduction and control in prices that the Arab nations promised two weeks ago.
Remember one thing, not only is the price of gasoline going up but at the same time airlines are forced to raise their prices, trucking companies are forced to raise their prices which affects prices on everything that is shipped. Things like food, clothing, building materials, medical supplies etc. who pays in the end? WE DO!
We can make a difference. If they don't get the message after one day, we will do it again and again.
So do your part spread the word and mark your calendars. Make MAY 19th a day that the citizens of the united states say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH".
Gas prices here are now going to $2.00 a gallon. I am in Nebraska. To me anyone who is at or below middle class can't live like this even the price of milk is outragous almost $4.00 a gallon depending on the brand. How can we raise our children if we can't give them what they need to grow up. We need to SOUND OFF and let them hear us.

man i feel bad for yall. Gas has raised here in mississippi but not by much. we never broke 2 bucks and nows its setteled around at about 180. but the old folks still complain (even though most of them are loaded with cash) about how they can remember when a gallon of gas cost like 50 cents. Amazing how they can remember that but not to take their medicine......hm maybe thats connected?

You know this is totally ridiculous. The gas prices are just not fair to the avarege person. I mean if you make minimum wage and on your own how in the heck can that person survive. Then you have GREENSPAN talking about taxing food and medicine you might as well tell everyone that makes less than 30,000.00 a year to sell everything that they have and live in either a box or their cars. Oh and people with medical issues just pay for their funerals now if this happens. I mean what do they think we are. We pay their salaries and we have nothing to show for it but we are going to hurt you more and more. Come on man........if I was in office I would fight with every ounce of my being. You know this country needs to take a look at if we all quit working and paying all taxes even they would suffer like the rest of us....eventually but maybe it would make a difference. Gas goes up and then tax us what is next?

Save your Money and Buy Gas Here!!
WHERE TO BUY YOUR GAS Why didn't George W. think of this? Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor. An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that ;don't import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil : Shell.....................205,742,000 barrels Chevron/Texaco.............144,332,000 barrels Exxon /Mobil............... 130,082,000 barrels Marathon/Speedway.......... 117,740,000 barrels Amoco........................62,231,000 barrels If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! We're now at $53+ a barrel. Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil: Citgo.........................0 barrels Sunoco......................0 barrels Conoco......................0 barrels Sinclair....................0 barrels BP/Phillips...............0 barrels Hess..........................0 barrels ARC0........................0 barrels All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. I's really simple to do. Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) . and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it. THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take? If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days!

Shoot forget the hybrid since I have heard that they stall out and you can't get them started again. I will always sick by " Never Buy The First Year Car " They will always find the problems because of how we all drive in this day and age.

LoL, That honda electric/gas car has been out for years now. Only time the gas motor kicks in is once you reach 55. So basically you can run 54mph and not have to pay a dime for gas hehe. Just make sure you keep your batteries charged!

Well, I am happy to see gass prices are dropping from our almost $3.00 a gallon. I filled up my car last night on my way home from work and only had to pay $2.08 a gallon. The projection is for it to be below $2.00 a gallon by Thanksgiving. Funny how we now see this as being cheap lol.
