Well I am back up and running. I have gotten the dead to live again, only took 8 months, and have acquired a second one. For those who remember I killed my Hyper7 at September-fest doing huge back-flips. A 40 foot jump and then pancake landing on concrete will do major harm to a fast R.C. With thanks to Tom, Billy, and Greg, I have the high-fly 7 running again and doing what Tom and I think to be close to 60+ mph. This little bugger can scoot. Then there is my new acquisition. A second Hyper 7. This one is basically stock. still a blast to run though. I have been thinking about maybe getting into actually trying to race, be a good starting point. So here are a few pics of my twins. The one with all the purple is the flier with a .27 in it. (thanks Bill) The stock one has a ofna .21 that has been ported and polished (not superbly though) Please disregard the dirt as I ran them hard on the track while it was still muddy after a 5 inch rain. Although what is the use in having them if you do not get em dirty. The Purple body with gold flake was a screw up that Tom and I created. Do not ask how it ended up having matching stripes and flake on both sides. We are still bewildered as to how that happened.

Yeah, I heard from Tim that the porting Tom did on that little .27 made a huge difference for you. In my Hyper One Seven I only got about 47mph out of it, but it was slightly fat, and its worn out. Its seen a hard life as my basher/back up motor so I've lent it out to quite a few people. Doesn't have much pinch anymore. A 30vg bump start has found its way home into my Hyper One Seven now. In the buggy it moves well enough, enough to slightly faster than a tuned hyper .21 8port. Lets get a video of it! I love watching speed runs! mywebpages.comcast.net/thirdgen89gta/jammin.mov

We actually have yet to do anything to the .27 We took out the 1 compression ring but it seems to want to die at mid tank now so we are putting it back in and waiting bout another half tank to do any real work to it.

Generally we are runnin it at around 230 on 20% Using a 17/46 clutch/spur on the Hyper with an exhaust from one of toms old trucks. Note that it is not a buggy exhaust.
I will get both buggies runnin at the same time and vid the 21 vs the 27 in front of Tom's house. I am sure It will be no contest.

I must be too nice to it then. Its decently fast, but not super fast even with a 13 or a 15t clutchbell.
Even so, for $70, good motor!
